The Lac La Biche Canadian Native Friendship Centre is set to host their 14th Annual Indigenous Achievement Awards Banquet on October 19th at the Bold Centre to honour Indigenous role models and contributors within community.
Donna Webster, executive director with the Lac La Biche Canadian Native Friendship Centre spoke with CFWE about her excitement of the upcoming awards banquet, and adds that it’s a beautiful event to acknowledge the positive contributions nominees have made within Lac La Biche and beyond.
Webster says throughout their 14 years of distributing the awards, with past nominees adding that after receiving the award, it has motivated them to continue to help others in their chosen fields.
For attendees planning on being at the Awards Banquet in the Bold Centre, Webster adds that he wants appreciation for the soft spoken nominees that are being recognized for helping others with having the fortune of being able to tell the stories of many that have been awarded over the 14 years by the LLB Canadian Native Friendship Centre.
