“Go, go, go home,” the star said in jest after a night under the custody of authorities.
On Thursday, January 9, actress-comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto was granted temporary liberty by the Pasay court.
This, as she paid a hefty sum of Php 1.7 million bail for 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the country’s Securities Regulation Code, which costed Php 126,000 per count.
It is in connection to the legal case filed against her and other personalities like Neri Naig-Miranda by investors of Dermacare.
Rufa Mae was an endorser of the said beauty clinic.
“Ako po ay komedyante, hindi negosyante,” Quinto exclaimed after leaving the court premises.
“Nakakanerbiyos po lahat ng nangyari sa akin, nakakalungkot… pero naniniwala po ako na ang katotohanan ay magpi-prevail,” she told the press.
In true Rufa Mae fashion, she also made a lighthearted statement, quipping: “So, kaya uwi na ako… go, go, go home! Finally, makikita ko na ang kama ko.”
In a previous interview, Quinto and her legal counsel Atty. Mary Louise Reyes claimed that the actress-comedienne was also a victim, with her having unpaid talent fees during her time as an endorser.
