CityHallWatch tries to support citizens in accessing Vancouver City Hall. To that end, every two weeks we often publish a “preview” analysis of the week ahead at City Hall and Vancouver Park Board.
Here is a tip that is probably news to many people who want to know what happened in the previous days.
The City of Vancouver issues an e-mail and publishes online a “Roundup of business at City Council for the week of ___________.”
This is generally comes out on the Thursday or Friday every two weeks, matching the typical City Council meeting cycle (with Regular Council on Tuesday mornings, Standing Committee on Wednesday mornings, and Public Hearings on Tuesday evenings and sometimes on Thursdays). If you would like to keep up on what’s going on at City Hall, this is a good place to check.

One thing to keep in mind is that, unsurprisingly, the content is typically written with a positive flair, which as you would expect, would reflect the dominant civic party in office at the time. Look for other media, including CityHallWatch, for more independent analysis and critique.
Another tip is that if you type the word “roundup” into the search field on the web page indicated above, you will get a list showing only the most recent “Roundup” links.
