Chloe Lightner joins WSLS as the Digital Executive Producer, where she will lead the station’s digital content strategy and production, guiding the team to create impactful and value-oriented, audience-driven stories across multiple platforms. 

With nearly 10 years of experience in digital media, marketing, and creative content, Chloe is passionate about using new and emerging digital tools to deliver compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
Her career in digital marketing began with a strong interest in brand storytelling and creative production, which she honed during her time at Marshall University, earning a degree in Advertising. Since then, Chloe has held roles where she has crafted data-driven digital strategies to drive growth and engagement. Prior to joining WSLS, Chloe was the Marketing Manager at an international data solutions company, where she built the marketing strategy from the ground up, spearheaded digital efforts, and supported various internal departments. Prior to this, Chloe held key positions in both in-house and agency environments, where she executed content creation, digital and social strategies, and creative campaigns for a diverse range of industries to craft data-driven strategies to build brand visibility, audience engagement, and long-term growth. Her previous work has also earned group and individual recognition, including awards for creative campaigns, showing her ability to merge creative vision with results-oriented execution.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Chloe serves on the local Ad 2 board as Creative Director, enjoys planning events at small and large scale, and keeps her skills and inspiration fresh by creating digital content in her free time. When she’s not crafting digital strategies, Chloe enjoys traveling internationally, creating art inspired by her daily life, and spending time with her rescue animals, Charlotte, Miles, and Kitty Perry. Based in Roanoke since 2018, her passion lies in driving local community engagement to contribute to the dynamic, evolving media landscape.
