The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the official list of referees selected for the upcoming 2024 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN), which will take place in East Africa.

The tournament, which will run from February 1 to 28, 2025, will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

For this edition of the CHAN, CAF has appointed a total of 26 central referees, 25 assistant referees, and 14 video assistant referees (VAR and AVAR). These officials will play a key role in overseeing the tournament’s matches, ensuring fair play and enforcing the rules on the field.

The CHAN 2024 will feature national teams composed exclusively of home-based players, offering an exciting platform for local talent to showcase their skills on the continental stage.

Although this competition is not as widely followed as other CAF tournaments, it remains an important event for the development of African football and provides valuable experience for players and officials alike.
